Marketing and Outreach (Education) for the Department of Clinical Investigation- focus on research and training for GME and residents of Brooke Army Medical Center, or BAMC. BAMC is the United States Army’s premier medical institution. Located on Fort Sam Houston, and is a 425-bed Academic Medical Center, and is the Department of Defense’s largest facility and only Level 1 Trauma Center.

The Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI) mission is to promote, coordinate, support, and oversee organized scientific inquiry in basic, translational, and clinical research at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and foster collaboration with other institutions in the Regional Health Command – Central (RHC-C). Through research, the DCI facilitates improvements in the health care of our beneficiaries by introducing new technologies or medical treatments and supports Graduate Medical Education (GME) by encouraging and supporting research that includes residents at BAMC. Additionally, the DCI’s Mission is to assure compliance with federal regulations for the protection of human research subjects and for the responsible use of animals in medical research and training. The DCI facilitates and supports the entire process of research approval including research proposal preparation, submission, review, monitoring, funding, and contract management of approved research, by providing program administration, education, and consultation for all research activities at Brooke Army Medical Center and other Military Treatment Facilities and clinics covered under its Assurances.

REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

RELIANCE STAFFING & RECRUITING, VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA

Substantial management experience; five offices, over 100 employees. Reporting directly to CEO/President, and VP of Marketing.

Accountable for public perception of the company; branding, blog and website, press releases, marketing, social media, print, and digital publications.

Developing marketing and communication strategies, understanding the importance of timing and setting, responding to crises and setbacks, overseeing a team of diverse communications roles as well as working with branch managers, recruiters, and support staff in understanding and implementing elements of marketing to attain digital strategy and financial objectives.

Social Media Marketing/Management. Administration of all location pages on Social Media; including managing analytics, Google Ad Words, and Facebook MyBusiness. Posting campaigns for candidates and hiring events, tracking metrics and providing feedback to branch managers and recruiters to tailor our approach.

Inter-office communications oversight, including protocols, branding uniformity, and training of new associates to manage incoming communications, conflict resolution, security protocols, workplace safety, and communication strategies. Additional support of each office with Press Releases, Reputation Management tracking via scheduled surveys to measure customer/client satisfaction.

Daily management of social media sites (5) as the first point of contact, scheduling posts and promotions, campaigns, job postings, providing replies to inquiries, sorting online applications provided via Facebook, and directing inquiries to appropriate branch locations.

All design work for marketing and promotional materials. B2B events, recruiting events, sales literature, and marketing materials. Production of animation, explainer videos, social media video/promotions, and monthly video display in lobbies of all offices.

Composition and formatting of all contract and proposals (RFP) documents for bids and vendor opportunities. Bids range from $3-35M, clients including local cities, municipalities, higher education institutions, and government offices. Review of contracts and documents prior to submission or publication. Press releases, sponsorship advertisements, and published articles in appropriate publications.

Participation in the V3 Program, BBB, and Hampton Roads Chamber, Sponsor of HRSHRM Monthly Luncheon for B2B Lectures/Events.

Re-branding of logos and all marketing, including the creation of a new logo and distribution to all vendors and digital platforms.

Reliance was acquired in April of 2019 by PeopleShare of Pennsylvania. Virginia’s marketing/communications department was eliminated in August 2019.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Primary public relations coordinator, marketing and promotions planning. Management of the website, and social media, including the creation of marketing videos and publications for B2B and Sales events.

Training sales employees to manage email campaigns via Mailchimp and produce drip sales/marketing campaigns to drive sales and upsell training and add-on options. Software training and support to the sales team for scheduling software training sessions online, and use of communications aids. Additional training for internal employees (50) on managing their communications protocols.

Marketing support: Video production, campaigns, promotions, graphic design. Reports provided on Social Media analytics, Google Ad Words, Facebook MyBusiness, and support for SEO for the website. 

Active/lead role in the redesign (2018) and subsequent modifications for SEO of the website. Direct meetings with vendors and administrators; representing the CEO and VP of Operations at meetings, and making observations, recommendations/suggestions to the ownership on programs, SEO task lists, and website development for sales growth and support.

Creating internal and external graphics, including brochures, pamphlets, posters, catalogs, newsletters, online content, and market notes. Internal publications include training and policy manuals, proprietary publications of market statistics, sales data, and preparation of presentation materials for company events.

Collaboration with a diverse team consisting of Marketing & Branding Manager, Sales Executives, and fellow Marketing Department team members to develop creative ideas and execute them professionally.

As a professional photographer; responsible for the central distribution and management of all corporate photography. Exclusive photographer for the 400+ BHHS Towne Realtors and support staff.

Responsible for original advertisement creation, design, and submission in accordance with the deadlines, artwork specifications, and provided by the Marketing Director and select industry publications. Additional responsibility for timely graphic creation and artwork design for home office and branch offices as needed per requests. Communicates with branch offices on advertising purposes, focus, message, and brand continuity.

Assistance to the Marketing Department in the development and implementation of a corporate blog, website, and microsites for each office, broker, and team; this includes support and media for social media and other external communication portraying the company as an industry leader.

Involved in the design and implementation of various promotional and advertising campaigns as well as archive print and online advertisements. Work includes interdepartmental collaboration with Administrative Assistants in Corporate, Commercial, New Homes, and various departmental Marketing Managers to keep an inventory of in-house brochures, catalogs, and promotional items.

Communication responsibilities include regular meetings and sales events with branch offices and customers to deliver new materials in a timely manner as needed.

Administrative support includes the detailed organization of the Marketing archive; organization and maintenance of files of advertising, images, and literature.
